There are different levels of props in films. Some are set dressing and some are used by actors. Next, if the item was used, is if it is a stunt prop (meaning, a lightweight piece typically made of rubber or resin that looks real but is not) or is it a hero piece (typically referring to an actual, semi operational prop finished to be used by the actor for close up and critical scenes). From 2012 Underworld Awakening is this amazing Hero Baikal P-514K 4.5mm Caliber Metal SWAT Guard Rifle screen used during the filming of Underworld: Evolution and personally hand-signed by Selene herself, Kate Beckinsale, during her signing with Celebrity Authentics. This futuristic rifle features a modified adapting with Leepers scope affixed and was used for close-up scenes in the film - therefore one of the higher quality, rarer props that are seldom scene or released (due to their expensive cost, studios typically keep them and reuse or repurpose them in future films). Rifle is non-operating (cannot fire) and shows extensive wear and film use with Kate adding her character name, Selene to the piece.
