Star Wars: The Clone Wars film originally premiered in August 2008 and served as the pilot for Star Wars: The Clone Wars TV series which aired from 2008 to 2020, and took place in the time between the films Star Wars: Episode II Attack of the Clones and Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith. The series went on to win several awards and become a fan favorite.
