This incredibly rare piece of Doctor Otto Octavius's artificially intelligent mechanical arm was screen used during the 2004 film Spider-Man 2 starring Tobey Maguire and Alfred Molina as Doc Ock! To help him perform a sustained fusion experiment, Octavius developed a set of artificially intelligent mechanical arms, which are impervious to heat and magnetism. Though the experiment overloads and becomes unstable, Octavius refuses to halt it, with devastating results: his wife is killed; the neural inhibitor chip which prevented the advanced AI of the arms from influencing Octavius's own mind is destroyed; and the arms are fused to his spine. It is then that Doctor Octavius becomes Doc Ock. Because of this accident that fused four mechanical tentacles to his spine, Doctor Octopus has the ability to control his four tentacles either mentally or telepathically. Each tentacle has its own power including superhuman strength, durability, wall-climbing and telescoping. Ships with Letter of Authenticity signed by Marvel founder Stan Lee verifying item's on screen use and provenance. This listing's featured images picture the exact item you will receive.
